One of the oldest (and sunniest) ski resorts in France, Font-Romeu began attracting affluent French holiday makers in search of fresh air and mountain views in the early 20th century.
Today, Font-Romeu is home to 58km of pretty, tree-lined pistes (mostly easy to intermediate) and it also has over 100km of cross-country tracks.
It’s small compared to many Andorran resorts, but it still packs a lot of rustic mountain charm, especially if you stay in Font Romeu itself, which features a 12th century church. The other option is to stay closer to the pistes in the more purpose-built Pyrenees 2000.
Our score is based on resort data; it reflects current forecasts, not guaranteed snow quality, and applies to the ski area, not specific resorts. Conditions can change quickly.
